There are 2 levels, a simple level and a trickier level, In each case there are real and made-up words. This is followed by recommendations on how to say each word. This is followed by the marking sheet. These PowerPoints are fun, colourful and an easy way to practice the words either with a whole class or one by one with the students. I have edited Levels 1 to levels 4 so there are now reading questions relating to every slide. I have mixed up all the original Thinking Hat colours and done away with black and white as I had teachers who felt these were not appropriate in a primary classroom and relaunched it all as Thinking Scarves - I hope you like the changes and leave me a nice comment below! Want to inspire your students? These pictures form the basic parts of a story to get them thinking. The pictures can be simply mixed up to change the story. The different pictures from the different stories could all be mixed up to create a really interesting mash-up of different stories. A real challenge is to see if a class can create a whole story from all the different images in the presentation!

The students can take these images and mix them up to create their own stories. There are two different ways of using this resource. You would separate the stories out, as I have done, or simple go wild, print them all out, laminate them and shuffle them and then use them as a starting point for student's own stories. The real challenge is to see if a class can use them all and still make a coherent story!

I wanted to create a fun PowerPoint lesson which focuses on using frequency adverbs and also a few fun maths problems. The children are encouraged to write 20 sentences about their lives using adverbs. They then chat about the likelihood of different events happening in their lives.

I have created a visual version of the Ourselves topic using all the key keywords a student needs to be able to recognise, use and say. It is a perfect way of either creating a instant display or as a warm up, review or revision of a topic. The pictures are colourful and will help to promote conversation in the classroom.
